Thursday, January 22, 2009
WILMINGTON, NC (Jan. 22, 2009) Queensboro (www.queensboro.com), a leading provider of custom-embroidered and printed apparel, grew almost 50 percent in 2008, despite the weak economy and a tightened credit market. Net revenues were $15.2 million in 2008 compared to $10.5 million in 2007, an increase of 45 percent year-over-year.
The reason for our growth is simple. We offer honest bargains, quality products, and the best customer service anywhere, said Fred Meyers, founder and president of Queensboro. Combined with disciplined spending and a laser focus on providing an overall experience that exceeds our customers expectations, we are poised to continue our phenomenal growth in 2009, even with the challenges in the current business climate.
Queensboro has a record of steady growth. The company was named to the 2008 Inc.com list of the 5000 fastest-growing private companies in America. Queensboro grew 136.9 percent in the three-years during which the ranking was based; net revenue grew from $4.4 million in 2004 compared to $10.5 million in 2007.
